After construction, this truck stop plans to reopen the gas station, convenience store, restaurant, and motel located on the property in the coming years.

Scope: General Excavating removed and replaced two existing 300,000-gallon cast in place fuel oil tanks with three 30,000-gallon fiberglass double-wall tanks and the associated site work. Scope: General Excavating treated lead impacted soil with granulated triple super phosphate, excavated the amended soil and stockpiled the soil onsite until contamination levels were suitable for disposal. Excavated material was placed in dump truck beds lined with HDPE for safe transportation. This remediation project was staged as work took place at an active manufacturing site. Other features of this project included a site-specific safety training plan for all employees, site restoration, and all appurtenant work.

Scope: General Excavating constructed a dual vapor extraction and hydraulic control remediation system for AG Valley Coop located in Bartley, Nebraska. Thirty-one extraction wells were connected to a building housing a soil venting system. An oxidizer was also connected to the venting system to burn off excessive hydrocarbons. Contaminated water was treated by a tray type air stripper then discharged to a nearby creek. Coordination among different stakeholders presented a challenge on this remediation project as six separate public and private stakeholders were impacted.

Scope: General Excavating constructed EPA mandated compliance improvements on the LES Rokeby Generating Station including: enlargement of a containment cell, abandonment of an existing fuel oil line with flowable fill, installation of new double-walled steel pipe, site restoration, and associated work. The new pipe possessed a leak detection system that alerts the owner if leaks are detected and will help the Lincoln Electric System's primary peaking power station maintain safe operation.

Scope: General Excavating, by way of subcontract to Sapp Bros., installed four 20,000-gallon fiberglass tanks, one 6,000-gallon tank, cut the trenches for the product lines, set fourteen islands and completed all of the associated work on the new Sapp Bros. Travel Center and Carwash located in Columbus, Nebraska.

Scope: The goal of the project was the construction of a groundwater remediation system to treat a contaminated plume. The remediation system included connecting four extraction wells with force mains to a tray type stripper. Piping was installed, which allowed the treated water to discharge into a creek on site. General Excavating also constructed the manholes, treatment building, air stripper and other appurtenant work. The treatment system will remain in operation for a number of years, with continual monitoring of the extraction wells, riff-gases and discharge water.
